It is one of the great joys of my life to share my experiences with groups of people.
One of the benefits of having been a coach for 15 years is the number of stories of triumph I’ve been a witness to – and how much of that information is useful, inspiring and perhaps entertaining for a group of people.
In addition, I’ve also been coached by individuals – and by some pretty challenging life events – and have often shared these insights with audiences at events and at companies.
One story I often tell is that of an ascent of Mt Acongagua – the tallest peak in the Western Hemisphere.
Going from ultra confident coach, to seriously altitude sick, shaky climber and witness to a tragedy on the mountain is something anyone can learn some valuable takeaways from.
Here are two examples of audience reactions from recent speaking engagements:
I just want to say thanks for an incredible presentation you gave at our Hollywood Networking Meeting. I have never seen this group so captivated and engaged… The information you shared was so inspiring and valuable. Your open heart and sense of humor really touched this group and I appreciate that you shared tools that we can use to support us in staying inspired and on track in our goals and pursuits. You really grounded the presentation with action steps that we took home with us. Everyone is asking when you are coming back.
